The gentle jaw® is a passive jaw stretching device for patients with jaw pain and/or limited range of motion. It is designed to provide pain relief and to maintain a normal range of motion of the jaw muscles through daytime stretching for 30 seconds every couple of hours. Invented by Dr. Rich Hirschinger, an orofacial pain specialist, we are pleased to incorporate this device into the Speed2Treat Protocol for Jaw and Muscle Sprain/Strain (JAMSS).
The gentle jaw kit includes a range of motion scale, 3 sizes of the devices, and a carrying case. Instructions are included for performing daily stretching exercises. In four words, the gentle jaw is “yoga for the jaw®“.
